Research cooperation
Research in the Gesäuse National Park supports the best possible achievement of National Park objectives and continues the tradition of detailed recording of the area. It is nationally and internationally networked and recognized and creates new impulses for the region and its inhabitants.
Ongoing research is conducted into the fundamentals of biodiversity as well as dynamic processes and management-relevant topics. Thus, the Gesäuse National Park offers a broad field of research in an alpine environment. You can count on the necessary infrastructure and an experienced team. The questions that our team is currently working on can be seen in the Researcher´s blog . All the work carried out to date can be accessed online.
Offer for researchers
Proposal research
Research initiatives in the area must be registered with the National Park Administration. The latter also issues the collection and driving permits required under the National Park Act. The methods used should correspond to the state of the art in science and be as least invasive as possible. Wherever possible, there is a concentration on the research objectives, as in our research concept set.
Researchers can access a broad database and local experience and receive organizational and technical support from the staff of the national park administration. For cooperation projects within the framework of existing funding opportunities, appropriate lead times must be planned. If you are interested, please contact the respective department.
