The national park region provides enough funds<\/h2>\n

On the fringes of the Ges\u00e4use Tourism Association's plenary meeting in Rottenmann it was announced that the municipalities of Admont, Ardning, Landl and St. Gallen as well as the Ges\u00e4use Tourism Association and the Ges\u00e4use National Park have agreed on the necessary support for the shared taxi for this year's season. This secures the operation of the service from May to October. As in the previous year, the shared taxi will be available from Friday to Sunday in May, June and October and daily in July, August and September.<\/p>\n

These are difficult times for micro-public transport in the Liezen district. The flexible shared taxis are falling through the cracks between the state's subsidies and it is not possible to cover the costs of such a mobility service. If, after a start-up subsidy, the respective region cannot raise the necessary funds itself, this means the end, such as with the Narzissenjet Ausseerland or the Bootstaxi Salza. Things are better in the Ges\u00e4use National Park region, where the necessary money has now been raised again. The national park, the tourism association and the municipalities each bear one third of the costs. This division should also correspond to the use, because the mayor of Admont, Christian Haider, estimates that two thirds of the passengers are tourists and one third locals.<\/p>\n

\"For us, financing the shared taxi is always an effort. We therefore welcome the political discussion to better integrate micro-public transport initiatives into public transport in Styria,\" reports Herbert W\u00f6lger. The Managing Director of the Ges\u00e4use National Park also reminds us that no other systems in comparable rural areas manage with less funding per passenger.<\/p>\n
